it was a short but very fulfilling trip.
went to Penang with grandma, dad and mom by air
with no tour guide, i did lotsa research before the trip and was not that bad
day 1:
we took the bus ride from airport to Georgetown (not recommended if you're 1st time there, cos we had a hard time locating our hotel, plus the weather was scorching hot! and in the end we still had to take a cab)
after check-in and deposited our luggage we headed towards the Peranakan Mansion
it was an eye-opening excursion as the interior design of the building was darn beautiful
next went to Ghee Hiang to get our favourite traditional foods
then, after mistaken a dustbin for the bus-stop we wasted abt half an hour
a kind passer-by heard us and told us
where we were standing isn't a bus-stop and is also hard to get a cab.
we all laughed to have mistaken a dustbin for the bus-stop
after a long wait at the bus-stop, the bus finally came and we headed to Komtar, then to Prangin mall and Pacific shopping centres to have some shoppings (nth much there thou)
and we took a cab to Lorong Selamat to have our dinner (i love their char kuay teow!)
and all of us retired early that night.
Day 2:
our 1st stop for the day was Penang Hill, i would say nth much there just for an experience.
next, we had a long walk before reaching the Kek Lok Si temple where the weather was so hot
that grandma, dad and mom refused to walk further to the other Progoda
then, we took a cab to the Botanical Gdn where i expected to see a magnificent natural waterfall as from the source provided by the Penang-attractions websites
but we were kinda disappointed to see such-low-of-a-height.
took a bus back to our hotel and had a few moments of resting before heading to a nearby Nyonya Breeze for dinner (it was really yummy, and we all enjoyed the meal so much)
Day 3:
booked a trip to Hatyai to shop in the market and had a full body massage (me and mom don't really enjoyed as much as grandma and dad)
Day 4:
had dim sum for breadfast and head towards the airport for our flight back to S'pore
=)
home is always the sweet-est to be!
