on my way home @ JE today.. i managed to grab a seat on the train. not long after i sat down, a strong and big size guy on my left turned to the lady on his left and said,
"do you know this seat you're sitting on is a priority seat~?"
i thought my ears are playing a fool with me...i turned and looked at the guy and he really demanded the lady to give up her 'priority seat' to a 50+ old man.. the old man said, "it's okay" and pointed towards the door saying that there was a pregnant lady at the door side so the strong and BIG size guy quickly said,
"Oo, then ask her to come...it's okay, come and sit!"
for goodness sake, i think he shd just dig a hole and hide his head inside man... i mean if he wants to do a kindness act (though i don't consider that as a kindness act from the guy) then you shd be the one sacrificing or put in that extra effort... how can you do a good deed by borrowing other people's hand?
and i don't know why in the end there isn't any pregnant lady that come forward for the seat... and the guy shifted his attention to a MIDDLE-aged guy which is like 40+? and he can still said,
"come..take a seat~" without feeling embarrass at all?
the middle-aged guy rejected and asked the lady that gave up the seat initially, if she would like to take her seat back... but the lady just shake her head and gave the as if-i'm-as-hungry-as-you-for-a-seat look
after a few stops...the big size guy finally spoke again and said to the middle-aged guy,
"you shd sit down, so that there will be more space in the train~"
gosh.. if i were the guy i will just pretend that im mute or smth!
i remembered another incident my grandma told me abt..she said there was once when she was on a bus she saw a person that has gotten up and left his seat...so my grandma whom is 79 coming to 80 years old walked towards the empty seat and wanting to sit down but the lady (in her 30s) that was sitting inside, which is nx to the empty seat stop my grandma and pointed to my grandma's back and implied that my grandma shd not take the seat, where another old man needs the seat more than my grandma does.. my grandma for instance turned back and asked the old man to have the seat
but i think that freaky lady shd not only give up her own seat to that old man.. since she think is necessary for the old man to sit down she shd also give up her seat to my grandma in the first place!
i think commuters have only power over their own seat and have no say in other people's seat at all! i really don't understand how these people think... as in if you saw it as a necessary kindness act or good deed when people don't see it or don't think is necessary then, you shd do it yourself rather than demanding people's hand to do it!?
